Recording artist, K. Roosevelt is a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer from Los Angeles, California. He’s heading over to the UK this month for a special show in London at The Waiting Room on Saturday 28th September. Tickets are on sale now, available here.
His critically-acclaimed mixtapes – RoseGold in 2013 and Journey in 2014 – were lauded by the likes of Complex, The FADER, and VIBE - with the hit single ‘Do Me Now’ soaring in popularity to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 R&B charts.
His most recent project, the self-titled EP K. Roosevelt (Def Jam Records), in which he composed, played and produced everything himself, was released in the summer of 2018.
K. Roosevelt is a multi-instrumentalist whose most recent undertaking is to teach himself to play guitar. He started off playing the drums for his father, the Grammy award-winning Blues artist, Keb ‘Mo. His father exposed him to tour and studio life early. Allowing K. Roosevelt to grow up around the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Herbie Hancock and other musical legends of our time. This, in combination with growing up in L.A. with his own peers in hip-hop and R&B, has informed the sound we hear in his music today.
In the studio he’s produced and written for: Travis Scott, The Game, Jhené Aiko, Abir, Hit Boy and Super Duper Kyle, just to name a few.
