WHERE'S YOUR HAPPY PLACE?
Broadcaster and Best Selling Author Fearne Cotton has announced special guest speakers plus talks from charities and sponsors including Rituals for her inaugural Happy Place Festival taking place at London’s glorious Chiswick House and Gardens and Cheshire’s picturesque Tatton Park this summer.
Pioneers in their fields, each guest speaker encapsulates Happy Place Festival’s aims - to help clear the mind, bring simple joy and help unlock that inner happiness.
Festival curator Fearne Cotton will be joined by broadcaster, activist and comedian Russell Brand; The Body Coach Joe Wicks; author and columnist Bryony Gordon; chef, food and health writer Jasmine Hemsley; philanthropist and presenter Katie Piper; presenter and author Rylan Clark-Neal; Olympian and philanthropist Dame Kelly Holmes; feminist, activist and writer Sophie Walker; double amputee British racing driver Billy Monger; personal trainer and blogger Alice Liveing and many, many more.
Each moment of the festival will be a fully immersive experience giving people the chance to go and escape anything that they are dealing with in real life and come away with some brilliant tools to help them.
The Happy Place Festivals are in collaboration with Rituals Cosmetics, a pioneering wellbeing and lifestyle brand that perfectly mirrors the Happy Place ethos of unlocking inner happiness and enjoying life’s little moments. Expect a dedicated Slow Down & Relax tepee where festival goers can book in for complimentary workshops focusing on Slowing Down, Scent, Sleep and Switching Off or simply pop in at leisure to enjoy relaxing hand & arm massages using The Ritual of Karma range, in store this summer. Fearne will also be speaking with Rituals Cosmetics founder Raymond Cloosterman as part of her Live Podcasts.
Happy Place will offer an opportunity for visitors to take part in free taster sessions throughout the day at the Community Stage. From joining a fitness workout with Joe Wicks to watching the UK’s favourite healthy recipe box, Mindful Chef cook up some of their delicious recipes, proving how easy healthy eating can be.
Visitors can sample and shop from a selection of large and independent wellness, health, fitness, planet friendly food and drink brands situated across the festival, from natural and organic products to uplifting and mindful gifts. In a rustic and relaxed feel expect workshops including a Meditation and Mindfulness tepee, a Massage tepee and a Creative Workshop tepee.
The Creative Workshop Tepee in association with curated online marketplace notonthehighstreet will offer a sanctuary for Happy Place festival goers to take some time out and learn a new skill. Hosted by a selection of notonthehighstreet's 5,000 small creative business Partners, the workshops will focus on activities that encourage mindfulness and creativity such as watercolour painting, embroidery and papercutting. Participants will get the chance to unleash their inner artist and create something beautiful to take home at the end of the session. No previous experience is necessary as notonthehighstreet's Partners will provide all the inspiration, guidance and reassurance required!
Visitors can head to the yoga and stretch tepee in partnership with Sweaty Betty. Crawl around like a bear, master your headstand, try scented Pilates and barre, before treating yourself to 20% off in the pop-up shop. Continuing with their mission to empower women through fitness and beyond, the brand will also host a talk themed around how exercise benefits mental health. ‘We are so excited to team up with Fearne and the team, I love how they celebrate finding the joy in everyday’, reflects Tamara Hill-Norton, Sweaty Betty’s Founder and Chief Creative Officer.
Paperchase have also teamed up with Fearne Cotton to create a pledge wall at Happy Place Festival. The colourful stationery retailer will sponsor The Retreat at the festival; a space for festival goers to take a moment out and make a positive pledge to themselves on the Paperchase pledge wall. With their ethos of creativity and relaxation going hand in hand, expect a colourful space and of course a few exciting Paperchase giveaways.
