Far From Saints Announce Two New Shows

Far From Saints - Kelly Jones of Stereophonics, with Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker from The Wind and The Wave have today announced details of two new shows at Glasgow Oran Mor on Thursday 25th May, 2023 and Leeds Brudenell Social Club on Friday 26th May, 2023 to warm up before their special guest appearance with Kings of Leon at Wrexham Racecourse Ground.

Tickets go on sale at 9:00am on Friday 28th April and will be available from HERE.

This show follows their recent performance at The Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust and precede their sold-out London show at EartH Theatre on Monday 5th June.

The band will also be hitting the festival circuit with appearances already announced at Glastonbury and Black Deer Festival in June as well as huge special guest shows to include Paul Weller’s Forest Live dates in June and Hozier at Heritage Live, Englefield House in July, with more shows to be confirmed soon.

Their debut new track ‘Let’s Turn This Back Around’ which was released last month has already earned widespread critical acclaim. Making an instant impact for Far From Saints, the song received its first play from Bob Harris at Radio 2 and was also named as Jo Whiley’s Infatuation. Its impact was reiterated when their headline show at EartH Theatre sold-out within two hours

The band’s eagerly awaited second track 'Take It Through The Night' followed showcasing Patty’s yearning, longing vocal provides echoes of the haunting melody and emotional resonance of Fleetwood Mac, while Kelly and Dwight’s layered wall-of-sound guitars possess both the squalling slide of timeless Southern rock and a lurching intensity which recalls Led Zeppelin’s ‘Kashmir’.

Far From Saints first experimented with playing music together when The Wind and The Wave opened for Kelly Jones on his UK solo tour in 2019. They would spend their downtime jamming and writing songs together, and they would team up during Kelly’s set to perform a rapturously received cover of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’. After the three songwriters merged their influences, they created a fervent mix of Americana, folk, rock and country influences which very naturally complemented the alchemy and beautiful harmonies crafted by the two vocalists. Working on new music, their captivatingly fresh album will be released early this summer.
